Charles R. Blackburn, B.S., B.S. Pharm.

Chairman and Principal

Charles is the second generation to enter the family business after graduating from Allegheny College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. Mr. Blackburn is credited for the transition of the company from a local pharmacy to one of the largest regional home medical equipment and supply providers in the industry. With over 46 years experience, Mr. Blackburn serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Ronald R. Rukas, B.S. Pharm.

President and Principal

Ronald is a graduate of Duquesne University School of Pharmacy.  He has over 30 years experience and joined Blackburn’s in 1978 as the retail pharmacy manager. In 1989, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations. He is credited with expanding into new markets in Cleveland, Erie, and Buffalo, New York.   In his current position as President, he leads the corporate management team and remains active as one of the company’s pharmacist.

Thomas J. Blackburn, R.Ph.

Vice President and Principal

Thomas is the third generation to join the family business.  He started in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy.  In his current position as Vice President, he oversees product distribution along with the operations of Respiratory and the DME service center. He remains active as one of the company’s pharmacists.
